Three Critical Errors that Put the Law of Attraction to Work Against You
Thursday, January 19th, 2012Did you ever try the Law of Attraction and fall short of your desired results? With the best intentions, most people unknowingly get the Law of Attraction working against them. Solving this problem will probably require a new way of thinking, which is the secret for switching from failure to success.
The Three Deadly Errors and How to Solve Them by Thinking Success
1. Setting a goal that’s too big. This can unwittingly lead to failure. Your goals need to be big enough to motivate you, and small enough to feel attainable. For example, if you set a goal to become financially free and you don’t believe that it is possible, you most likely will start to focus your attention on it not happening and this is what the law of attraction will return to you.
Remedy: With your ultimate goal in the back of your mind, concentrate on something that you can believe is possible. Maybe you could aim to increase your income by 5 or 10 percent a month by starting a home business with the long term goal of reaching financial freedom. Once you reach your short term goal, you can step it up another notch.
2. Focusing on what isn’t working right now. You might hope to have financial freedom because you are unhappy with your job. Concentrating on feeling bad is a sure-fire way to experience even more of it.
Remedy: Think about what you really want. To build on the last example, think as frequently as you can about boosting your income by 5 or 10 percent with your own business. Notice when you deviate from thinking about what you want and get back on course as quickly as possible. “I am delighted to have a steady job while I shift into an amazing future.”
3. Lack of action. A goal without action is just wishful thinking. It’s surprising how many people hope that someone is going to come along and save them. Although this is a wonderful dream, it isn’t a substitute for doing the work. The natural result of having a goal that excites you that you believe in is inspired action, a desire to do whatever it takes to reach your goal.
Remedy: Enlist the courage to reach into the unknown and take action to realize your dreams and goals. You and your goals are worth it, no matter what anyone else might say. As the saying goes, feel the fear and do it anyway.
Making the Law of Attraction Work on Your Behalf
According to Earl Nightingale, you become what you think about most of the time.
When you have a goal, believe that it is possible, think consistently about it happening, and feel inspired to take action, you are on your way. You have accessed the main substance of success thinking.
The next critical step is to watch for new possibilities. The path you will reach your goal probably won’t be what you imagine, so you have to have an open mind.
