The Dread Of Operating Out

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

Matthew six:25-34 (The Message)
25-26 “If you determine for Oplagt, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s within the
table at mealtimes or regardless of whether the clothing inside your closet are in style. There’s significantly extra for your life than
the food you place inside your belly, extra for your outer appearance than the clothing you hang in your body.
Seem at the birds, totally free and unfettered, not tied down to a career description, careless inside the care of Oplagt. And
you count significantly extra to him than birds.
27-29 “Has any person by fussing in front with the mirror ever before gotten taller by so a lot as an inch? All this time
and money wasted on fashion-do you feel it would make that a lot distinction? As opposed to looking at the
fashions, stroll out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever before
observed shade and style very like it? The ten best-dressed men and females inside the nation look shabby
alongside them.
30-33 “If Oplagt gives this kind of consideration on the appearance of wildflowers-most of which are never even seendon’t
you feel he’ll attend to you, require pride in you, do his ideal for you? What I’m attempting to do here is to
get you to loosen up, to not be so preoccupied with acquiring, so you can reply to God’s giving. People who
don’t know Oplagt along with the way he performs fuss through these items, but you recognize each Oplagt and how he performs.
Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Will not be concerned about missing out. You’ll come across all
your each day human worries will be met.
34 “Give your total consideration to what Oplagt is performing correct now, and don’t get labored up about what might or
might not take place tomorrow. Oplagt will help you deal with what ever tough items arrive up when the time
comes.”
be concerned = merimnao (mer-im-nah’-o) = to become concerned, to become troubled with cares,
to become strangled or choked with worry
“Jesus doesn’t condemn respectable worry for responsibilities but relatively the constant mind-set that
dismisses God’s presence. Harmful stress and anxiety subtracts Oplagt within the future, faces uncertainties with no
faith, tallies up the challenges with the day time without entering Oplagt into the equation. Be anxious could be the darkroom
where negatives grow to be glossy prints.” – Max Lucado
Transferring from be concerned to trust…
† Acquire God’s viewpoint (v. 26-28)
† Settle the “Master” concern (v. 33)
† Dwell inside the present tense (v. 34)
“The reason so a lot of of us are overwrought, tense, distracted, and concerned is the fact that we’ve never mastered
the art of living one day time with a time. Physically we do dwell a day with a time. We can not very help ourselves.
But mentally we dwell in all three tenses at once…and that won’t operate!” – William Elliott

Popcorn Making Business

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

I needed some additional income so I decided to get a job this summer. I started checking out the local papers and even Craigslist, but never found anything useful. When my search seemed hopeless I decided to ask my Uncle Billy for some assistance. Uncle Bill said “if their aren’t any jobs to be had, then make some”. I didn’t think that this advice was really useful at first and got pretty angry. I said “what do you mean make one”. Uncle Billy calmly told me that I should create a business which would therefore create me a job. With a large enough business I could even create jobs for some other people as well.

I thought this was a great idea, but didn’t really know where to start. Uncle Bill and I started brainstorming and we came up with the idea of using his popcorn machines to start a business. His three large popcorn poppers would be great for my business. These popcorn makers were purchased for his house, but he said I could use them as long as I didn’t break them.

My first sales came in the parking lot of the local community swimming pool. Many people bought from me and I eventually got enough money to buy a few popcorn makers of my own. My thoughts were that having my own makers would ensure that I could operate even if my uncle needed his back. After awhile I found that I really was going to need to hire some employees.

My first thought was to run an ad in the classifieds, but then I remembered my friend Sam needed a job. I placed a telephone call to Sam to see if wanted some extra cash. He was a little aloof at first since he wasn’t sure what to make of my business plan. After he saw my poolside business he seemed awestruck. He asked questions like, “where did you get your machines”, and how “do you run them”.

Sam came to my house and I showed him http://www.popcornplaza.com and the operating instructions. I then showed him the machines operation and asked him if he wanted to work with me. He told me he would think about it and I didn’t hear from him again.

Just last month I found out that he now has a little popcorn selling business. I guess he decided to go to work for himself instead.

Incredible Suggestions On Paying A Subcontractor

Friday, October 29th, 2010

Hiring subcontractors adds a new dimension to your business. Your clients will pay you and in turn you will pay your subcontractors. While this does create a bit more work for you – or your bookkeeper – the increase in your productivity will more than pay for the extra work. In order to make your system to work though, there are a few things you need to keep in mind.

Pay Per Hour or Per Project

First, you need to determine how you’re going to charge for a project. Will it be per project or based on an hourly figure? You’ll also need to find out if your subcontractor is going to charge you hourly or by the project.

Next, determine how much your subcontractors will bill you for the work that they will do on your behalf. Armed with this information, you can work out how much you will quote for your services to manage these projects, edit everything and communicate with the customer. Add these two numbers together, along with any other necessary fees, and you’ll have the amount you need to quote the client (although I recommend adding a small contingency fee as well).

In any case, it’s important that you make sure you charge enough to cover your virtual assistant subcontractor’s fees, the time you have invested in the project and any overhead that might be associated with the project. Once you have your numbers in place, you’ll also need to make sure you sign a contract with the client and with the subcontractor before anyone begins any work. This may well be the time to talk to your lawyer to see that you have everything covered.

Sending Payment

When the project is done, many virtual assistant subcontractors will send an invoice right away. Other subcontractors invoice monthly or even weekly. Determine the particular policies associated with your subcontractor before you start. In some circumstances, a subcontractor will allocate a certain number of hours or tasks over a particular time period, in return for a specific amount. She works until you have used up your hours. This is a good arrangement if your subcontractor is completing tasks that aren’t directly related to specific clients or projects.

Check with your subcontractor ahead of time about specific payment arrangements. PayPal is a very common way of handling online subcontractors. In some cases, you may be able to pay via credit card, or the subcontractor may accept checks. With a smaller subcontractor, you will most likely be expected to pay your invoice immediately. Some larger operations though may allow you to pay your invoices 10 to 30 days after receipt. Find out for sure what your subcontractor’s polices are.

What If the Client Doesn’t Pay?

When the subcontractor charges you for a project related to a certain client and the client won’t fork up, you might consider delaying the payment to the subcontractor.  You must make sure that you cover this kind of eventuality with your virtual assistant subcontractor in the contract. But even if it’s not, as the project manager, it’s your responsibility to make sure those working under you get paid, even if you don’t. It will also be your responsibility to seek payment from the client.

Take care of your subcontractors, pay them well and make sure you charge your clients enough and your business will be much more successful for it.

Critical Ideas On Making Your Virtual Assistant Enterprise Successful

Friday, October 29th, 2010

First of all we must take a moment to carefully define success — thefreedictionary.com says that success is, “The achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted.”

I would like to define success as an interpretation of how happy I am and I like to listen to my inner Michelle to see what I really want in life, both now and as time goes by. I took me a quite a while to finally realise that I don’t desire millions of pounds, fancy cars and a penthouse suite in Manhattan. But what I do desire is enough money to go where I want to travel, enough time to spend watching my children grow up, while ensuring that I have some sort of ongoing and comfortable financial stability for daily living.

Many businesses that start online will eventually fail, but why is this? Are there any dangers that you should particularly look out for which could cause your business to fail before it’s even really started? If you are concerned that you might get lazy working from home, or even potentially want to give up after just a short period of time, and you are worried that you may not have what it takes to make it, here are a few outside influences which I consider as potential factors in predicting whether you actually have what it takes – at this moment in time in your life, to run a seriously successful Virtual Assistant Business.

#1 – Is Your Business Make Or Break?

Are you at a stage in your life where you’re really in a financial hole that you need to get out of? If you don’t get out of that hole, are things going to go very badly for you and your family? If you find yourself in these desperate situations, then you are probably very likely to make a real go of establishing a successful business, because your mindset will be such that you absolutely have to make it work at all costs. This could mean a number of things, even staying up until the wee small hours of the morning, or dedicating several months to taking on new skills and brushing up your existing ones to get ready.

To underline this point, I recently listened to an interview, where a successful businessman was asked how he became so successful and he replied that he had a great motivation, to be able to feed his family and look after his wife. You can find a great deal of motivation in this fear factor, as few of us really like to contemplate failure. And to take advantage of this situation and turn it around fast, seriously consider taking on someone looking to become a virtual assistant, or even a team looking to become a virtual assistant business, to maximise your efforts in a very short span of time. Always keep in mind that someone looking to become a virtual assistant can help you with all the details, at a great price too.

#2 – Do You HATE Your Current Situation?

Do you hate something in your life and wish you could change it? Sometimes we have to spend many long hours away from home, or are not happy with our living arrangements or where we are based, or any other number of things which are lifestyle related and these elements can be real motivators when it comes to pushing for the establishment of your Virtual Assistance Business, your gateway to the future, if you will. Focus on what you really dislike right now and this will give you an above average chance of pushing forward to success. It’s truly amazing the drive and dedication which can come from an intense desire for change, and this one thing, can make all the difference in the world to your work.

What You Need To Know To Lose The Extra Pounds

Friday, October 29th, 2010

Understanding what will really happen versus what is said will help everybody. That is what actually leads to weight loss and a person needs to understand what they are hearing when they go into forums like the biggest loser weight loss forum so they can keep themselves looking healthy, fit and fine by knowing the truth about some of the most common weight loss myths..
Number 1 There is only one type of fat
There are fats that are good for you and fats that are bad for you. Healthy fats are indeed, necessary for your body and help in maintaining good health. Fats known as PSA are not responsible for adding pounds to our body, but rather are needed to maintain good health. However, the SFA are the ones you need to avoid, as these are bad fats that can lead to weight gain. These bad fats are also, responsible for blocking your arteries and increasing your chances for heart attacks. A person’s diet would include the polyunsaturated fatty acids when they eat.
Number 2 You will shed more pounds if you only eat once a day.
Fact: This is completely untrue because by skipping meals, you actually disturb your body’s metabolic system, and when you are in starvation mode, your hormones get imbalanced and the body tries to conserve the energy, rather than expending it which means that your body will have excess calories, which will lead to weight gain rather than a person lose weight fasting. When you have not eaten for a while, you will tend to overeat once you get the chance because you feel more hungry. The result is added fat on your body. Do not let your body go hungry by not eating regularly, but rather keep it fueled by snacking in between small meals throughout the day and eat food that is healthy for you.
Third is that the food you choose will not matter if you workout.
Fact: The type of exercise is not important whether you run around a track or do a six pack ab exercise program but what is important is the amount of calories you burn, since this is an essential feature of weight loss. because your body will accumulate extra calories as fat regardless of the amount of exercise you do. Diet plays a major role in weight loss. It is when the right diet is combined with an effective exercise regimen that weight loss happens.
Fourth is that if it says it is “lite” it is good for your diet
Fact: Low fat or fat-free doesn’t necessarily mean low calorie or calorie free. There are very few regulations about what certain terms that food manufactures use should mean, so they are not always as good as a person might think. If something was very fatty to start with, losing half the calories might make it better but it will still be unhealthy. Look past the catch phrases on the front of a package and make sure you read the information on the back. Watching the quantity is important. The key with food is not how it is advertised but how much nutrition it will provide you without adding fat or calories.
A lot of people who face that growing midsection would like to do something about it. They are looking to get into shape. Understanding how to get into shape is important if you want to achieve that goal. The worst part of trying to lose weight is to fail when trying. Before you begin any weight loss plan, learn the facts. Then make the commitment to reach your goals.
